Who we are
From the port of Rotterdam to Surinamese shelves
Köpcke Trading Suriname started as a ship chandler in Rotterdam that grew over more than a century into a multinational with offices worldwide. In Suriname the name has been carried since 2005 by HALO N.V., a local company active in trade.
We import quality products from manufacturers in Asia, Europe and South America and distribute them with our own fleet to supermarkets, food service and wholesale. Our motto: We are there whenever you need us.

Köpcke in Rotterdam
Köpcke starts as a ship chandler in the port of Rotterdam and grows over a century into a multinational with offices worldwide.
1990
Branch in Suriname
Köpcke Trading Suriname opens on the Wilhelminastraat in Paramaribo-Noord as importer and distributor for the Surinamese market.
2005
HALO N.V.
Local company HALO N.V., active in trade and formerly in agriculture, takes over the Surinamese operations and continues under the Köpcke Trading name.

Three product groups
Dry goods, frozen goods and non-food for more than 300 supermarkets, restaurants and resellers throughout Suriname.
